Norse Energy was commissioned to carry out a forensic energy audit of County Hall – Norfolk County Council’s operational headquarters – and has developed options for the future energy strategy of the building. The solution includes the replacement of the gas-fired wet heating system with a modern air conditioning system (with mechanical ventilation and heat recovery), upgrade of the exterior fabric, upgrade to roof insulation, new LED lighting with modern controls and a Photovoltaic (PV) installation.
- Expected to save around 1,000 tonnes of carbon and a significant reduction in operational energy running costs per annum for the building
- A major contribution towards the Authority’s strategic reduction target of 50% by 2020.
