Services: Funded solutions | Revenue generation | Partnership working | Renewable energy technologies

Norse Energy has funded the installation of 1000 3kw PV systems onto the roofs of social housing units managed by A1 Housing in Bassetlaw. The scheme is designed to provide free energy to tenants and generate £426,000 per year from feed in and export tariffs.

Part of this revenue will be used by Bassetlaw District Council to put towards their Energy Fund to help tackle fuel poverty in the area.

Norse Energy has invested £4m in the project and expects a payback term of nine years. A further scheme to provide similar benefits to A1’s remaining property portfolio is already in progress. Working with Norse Energy was HamsonJPA who provided contract administration and project management, with Lambert Electrical the main contractor.
